Come and enjoy a relaxed time away at our beautiful, 2900 square foot, newly remodeled home on 105 acre Oxbow Lake!
Comfortably sleeping 16, our home offers all the space you'll need to gather together and make lasting memories. We offer 4 bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths, and gorgeous views from almost every angle.
Three of the bedrooms are on the upper level. The primary bedroom overlooks the lake and offers a queen size bed, the west bedroom offers a private full bathroom with step in shower, a queen size bed and a trundle with two twin beds, and the middle bedroom offers a queen size bed and bunk bed with two twin beds. The second full bathroom offering a bathtub and shower is also located on the upper level. Tucked away on the upper level, you will also find a cozy reading nook. It's sure to be a hit with the youngsters! The walk-out basement doubles as the 4th bedroom and makes for the perfect hangout for all ages offering a foosball table, Smart TV and two twin over full bunk sets. The main level sunroom offers a daybed for an additional sleeping accommodations.
Amongst the expansive open floor plan of the main level, spacious upper level, cozy reading nook, and the walkout basement/game room/fourth bedroom there is plenty of space for all to enjoy. For your comfort and convenience our home is equipped with high speed Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a gas fireplace, main floor washer and dryer, dishwasher, and a second Smart TV located in the living room. The half bath, located on the main level is handicap accessible. We also provide a high chair and pack n play for those traveling with young children.
Outside, you have your own private beach/campfire area with a rowboat, canoe, 4 kayaks, a dock, and complete freedom to enjoy private Oxbow Lake. We provide ample firewood, so no need to buy it elsewhere. Oxbow Lake is 100 feet deep, and has excellent fishing year round. While the lake is perfect for canoeing/kayaking and passing the time gathered around the lake front, it is not very suitable for swimming due to the vegetation that grows along the frontage. There is no public boat launch on the lake, but you may bring your own trolling motor for the row boat. The deck overlooking the lake provides a gas grill and outdoor dining accommodations.
If you'd like to see other sights, Ludington is only 11 miles away, with the new Stix restaurant/bar, Jamesport Brewery, or Ludington's own House of Flavors, where it all started. Pentwater is 9 miles, and Ludington State Park is 20 miles. Several Lake Michigan beaches are located within 10 - 15 miles including Ludington's Stearns Park Beach, Summit Park, Buttersville Park, and Pentwater Beach. There are also many local golf courses, winery's, restaurants, and much more. Visit the S.S. Badger, the only coal powered passenger steam ship in the United States, or stroll down Pentwater's quaint Main Street, with it's many shops and the famous Brown Bear restaurant.
